Coming from the M5 North (Taunton junction 25)

• Exford is about a 30 miles drive from this junction which is signposted "Taunton".
• Follow the A358 (signposted to Minehead) through several roundabouts until you arrive at the roundabout by the Cross Keys pub, take the 2nd exit still following the A358, and after approximately 8 miles turn left, signposted Exford, passing under a railway bridge, and follow the B3224 (signposted Raleighs Cross, Wheddon Cross, Exmoor) for approximately 10 miles, about half a mile after the Raleighs Cross Inn, take the turning on right by a small church (signposted to Wheddon Cross, B3224).
• Follow this road into Wheddon Cross, at the crossroads (be very careful here as there is limited vision) go straight ahead and follow the road which is signposted to Exford. When you enter Exford you will pass the "Welcome to Exford" sign on the top of Church Hill, at the bottom you will see The Crown pub on the right-hand side, turn right here and you will find Folly Cottage, which is a large terracotta cottage, 100 yards up on the right.

Coming from the M5 South (Tiverton Parkway junction 27)

• Exford is about a 32 miles drive from this junction which is signposted "Tiverton Parkway".
• Follow the A361 (signposted Tiverton, Barnstaple) for approximately 7 miles to the roundabout, take the 3rd exit on to the A396 (signposted Bampton) follow for approximately 16 miles passing through Bridgetown, after about a mile turn left (signposted Winsford) onto Edbrooke road, follow this road through Winsford until you come to a T junction, turn left and continue past the "Welcome to Exford" sign on the top of Church Hill, at the bottom of the hill you will see The Crown pub on the right-hand side, turn right here and you will find Folly Cottage, which is a large terracotta cottage, 100 yards up on the right.
